I'm Rob

Since graduating from the University of Michigan in April, 2017 - where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science, I've worn many different hats as an engineer and deepened my knowledge across the stack.

During the first two years in my career, I worked as a Software Engineer I at Bizrate Insights, where I developed new features and built out a component library for our client facing application, VitalSigns, written in React, Node.js, Vanilla JS and AWS architecture. After 2 years at Bizrate, I followed my interest for serving customers at scale and took on a new role as a Web development Engineer II at Amazon Advertising in Santa Monica. I was recently promoted to WDE Lead, which entails leading the global CCLP program (from a technical perspective), mentoring all LA-based Web Development Engineers on the team, and defining Front-End best practices for our team. I'm currently learning more about software architecture, and in the process of becoming an AWS certified Solutions Architect.

Aside from development I'm an avid skier, surfer, cyclist, rock climber, and the best dad ever, to my cattle dog / Border Collie mix, Stella.
